Experienced Paraprofessional - Redford, MI Area

Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews to fill a full-time position for an Experienced Paraprofessional within school districts located in the Redford, MI area. The successful candidate will meet all local and state requirements, which will be detailed below.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a paraprofessional training program approved by the state of Michigan or attainment of an associate degree (or higher) OR the completion of at least 60 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Passing score on the state-approved assessment (if applicable).
• Proficiency in assisting with instruction under the direction and supervision of a certified teacher.
• Ability to provide support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist certified teachers in implementing instructional plans and activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
• Implement accommodations and modifications for students with special needs.
• Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and resources.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support student success.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records.
