A school district in Mississippi is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide virtual services for the upcoming school year. Position Overview:

• Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
• School Year: 2024/2025
• Student Population: K-12
• Caseload: Mild to moderate disabilities

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Mississippi
• Home office setup with a reliable internet connection
• Successful completion of VocoVisions technical screening process before interviewing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide contracted services with a competitive hourly wage and weekly payments
• Conduct early identification and intervention for speech and language issues
• Track and assess student progress to inform educational planning
• Perform comprehensive speech, language, and hearing evaluations
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and review IEPs
• Ensure compliance with Mississippis special education standards
• Offer guidance to parents, teachers, and administrators on student needs and interventions
• Develop and implement tailored strategies for classroom success
• Deliver therapy and follow-up based on individual IEP goals
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and complete required documentation
• Supervise and mentor assigned support staff
• Participate in public awareness efforts to highlight the needs of students with speech and language impairments
• Stay informed on the latest developments and best practices in speech-language pathology
• Adhere to district and cooperative policies, including health and safety regulations
