Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - School District Near Phoenix, AZ
Soliant Health, a leading healthcare staffing agency, is currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position within a school district near Phoenix, AZ. This opportunity involves working 37.5 hours per week and starts immediately, continuing until May 24, 2024. The SLPA will work with a caseload spanning from PreK to 5th grade, supporting approximately 66 students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with speech and language disorders under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Conduct small group and individual therapy sessions with students to target specific munication goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and social success.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and interventions.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of materials and resources for therapy sessions and classroom activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program from an accredited institution.
- Valid Arizona SLPA certification and IVP Fingerprint Card.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to follow directions and implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse student populations and varying munication needs.
