Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician to join our healthcare team in Mississippi and provide sporadic coverage. This assignment offers a flexible, long-term opportunity with weekly pay.
Practice Setting:
- 16-bed Emergency Department
- Level 4 Trauma Center
- Patient population is primarily adults with some pediatrics
- Advanced Practice Provider support available for approximately 10-12 hours per day
Cases and Procedures:
- Bread and butter emergency medicine cases
- Providers should be comfortable managing a variety of emergency conditions
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM or 6 PM - 6 AM)
- Approximately 7-14 days per month. Shifts are often sporadic, but may include multiple consecutive days
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Providers with Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and extensive emergency medicine experience may be considered
- Active Mississippi medical license and DEA registration
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS required
- Minimum of 24 months of emergency medicine experience preferred
