We are in search of an Assistant Controller to join our team in the Hospitality Asset Management industry, located in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, including managing accounting functions, handling accounts, and facilitating month-end closing.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all accounting functions within the organization.
• Work with various accounting software systems to maintain accurate records.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure all financial accounts are up to date.
• Utilize 'ADP - Financial Services' and 'Concur' to process customer applications and maintain customer records.
• Perform auditing tasks to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Use 'Crystal Reports' and 'DCAA' for generating and analyzing financial reports.
• Manage and perform billing functions to ensure accurate invoicing.
• Facilitate month-end closing procedures to finalize financial activities for a given period.
• Utilize skills in accounting to resolve customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledge of DCAA
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Expertise in Auditing
• Ability to handle Billing Functions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of three years experience in a similar role within the Private Equity industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Good understanding of financial regulations and legislation
• CPA certification is preferred but not required
• Experience with financial reporting and financial data analysis.
