Position Overview: As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in supporting students' communication and language development to enhance their educational experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who are dedicated to helping students overcome communication challenges and succeed in school.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' speech and language goals, in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate speech and language goals into the academic curriculum and classroom activities.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention plans as needed based on ongoing assessment data.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on strategies for supporting students' communication needs in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with school-aged children with diverse communication disorders and needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
