Radiology- Diagnostic Imaging-X-Ray– Radiologic Technologist

An excellent opportunity exists in the Lehigh Valley for our client actively seeking to add an IR Technologist to the group in a full-time permanent staff capacity, to assist the radiologist and/or other licensed physicians with applicable procedures.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following):

• Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning procedures.
• Using equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.
• Explaining procedures to patients and answering their questions.
• Positioning of patients, which may include assisting in lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
• Collaborating and working closely with the resident Radiologist
• Ensure that the equipment is serviced regularly and in good working order.
• Promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
• Maintaining an accurate record of completed procedures.
• Sampled administrative duties include monitoring radiology supplies, attending mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, ensuring x-ray rooms are always clean and tidy, and that the x-ray machines are set at the correct radiation levels.
• To be successful in this role, individuals will be compassionate toward patients and possess the ability to lift or move patients with mobility issues.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or related experience.
  • Two-year degree required for board eligibility
  • (ARRT) eligible or certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Proven experience of at least two (2) or more years working in Interventional radiology
  • CPR and/or BLS certification
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A patient and compassionate disposition.
