The primary responsibilities of the MRI Tech includes administering image scans on patients to produce quality images of designated areas of the human body. The position involves direct contact with patients, including interviewing them, explaining the scanning process and positioning them on the examining table.
Types of scans: Primarily Pediatrics including Neuro, Heads, spines, typical extremity and body work and some cardiology.
Scans Per Day: Average 12-15 scans per day.
Other techs on shift: Yes, but there may be rare occasions when they are only tech scheduled.
Equipment: 2 Magnets, both are Siemens. 1.5T Sola and 3T Skyra
Preferred Certs & Experience: IV Certification & experience with Siemans scanning equipment.
Shift: Days varied start time (could be 6a-630p, 7a-730p, 8a-830p) 36 hours per week.
Weekend requirement: every other Saturday.
Call requirement: No call required, if they would like to take call that would be an option.
