Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at [School Name] in East Chicago, Indiana. This position involves working with students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, providing therapeutic support to help them achieve their academic and developmental goals. The COTA will work for 35 hours per week during the academic year from August 1, 2024, to May 23, 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and progress.
• Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
• municate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school personnel regarding students' therapy goals and progress.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Indiana.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Dedication to providing quality care and support to students.
