StrideCare is a multi-specialty physician group focused on delivering comprehensive lower extremity care across Texas. Our expert doctors specialize in the treatment of foot and ankle problems, lower extremity care, wound care, vascular and vein care. Our physicians and surgeons offer multi-disciplinary treatment for common and complex conditions including diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, neuropathy, diabetic foot ulcers, venous insufficiency, and wounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: Prepares patients for exam, explains procedure, administers contrast, when necessary, positions patients for the exam, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the images.
- Responsible for providing surgical scrub duties and running of the Xray equipment.
- Responsible for having all necessary supplies and x-ray equipment ready and available for each assigned case.
- Ensure Vascular Lab turnover is done in a timely manner and cost effectiveness and conversation are observed when opening supplies for cases.
- Restocks Vascular Lab supplies as case load permits and helps pull supplies for cases the following day.
- Sets up and maintains x-ray equipment for major and minor interventional procedures applying special knowledge pertaining to radiology.
- Communicates effectively with medical staff to facilitate coordination of patient care among all disciplines providing patient care services.
- Responds promptly to changes in the workload, adjusting assignments as necessary to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Plans all work steps to ensure success: considers time, supplies and support required from other individuals and departments in setting up work plan and completing duties.
- Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports all accidents and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicate with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Able to travel to multiple Vascular Labs throughout DFW area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Radiology Technology
- 2 to 4 years of experience in special procedures, cath lab, etc.
- Basic Life Support and Advance Cardiac Life Support
- MUST have ARRT in Radiology
- AART in Interventional Radiology (IR) is preferred
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas Department of State Health Services)
