Process Technician - 1

LA Semiconductor is looking for Process Technician for the WIE (Wafer Inspection Engineering) team. The WIE (Wafer Inspection Engineering) group monitors the Fab production line for particles and other defects.  As a WIE Technician at LA Semiconductor’s Pocatello 200mm manufacturing facility, you will work in a dynamic team environment and oversee defect and tool performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support process and manufacturing teams on defect sourcing and tool improvement.
• Monitor multiple inspection tools; gauge tool performance and evaluate statistical data for process conformance.
• Interact with the configuration and setup of automated inspection scans before committing inspections to production lots.
• Utilize Promis, Space, Klarity and other electronic media in problem-solving and general documentation of work performed.

• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Identifying and solving problems on a team level and independently.

• Participate in the development of WIE goals/objectives, policies/procedures; make recommendations for changes/improvements.
• Provide leadership to other technicians and manufacturing technologists by providing training and mentoring when the opportunity presents itself.

• Ability to follow sequential process from start to finish with consistency and accuracy.
• Willingness to develop a familiarity with fab process flows and the ability to connect captured defects to specific process stages.
• Independent decision making capability.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• At least one year experience in a production area of a semiconductor fab or equivalent work environment

Shift: B - Sunday-Tuesday; Every other Saturday 6:45pm-7am
