CNC Machinist – Weekend Shift

Location: Walker, MI

Shift: Weekend shift (Friday-Monday, 10/12/12/10 hour days) (OT paid after 8 hours worked per day)

Pay: $23-$30/hour

Recognized World Leader in the manufacturing of gray and ductile iron castings as well as styrofoam patterns for over 90 years, has opened a new facility and is looking for Weekend Shift CNC Machinist’s to join our company.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Requires knowledge of machining techniques, methods, and familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures, plus the ability to follow written instructions.
• Sets up machines.
• Adjusts and checks out programming, and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operation.
• Availability to work overtime is required for this position.

Skills/Requirements Needed:

• Large bridge or gantry mill experience - required
• Siemens 840D sl controller experience - preferred
• Large weldment, castings experience - required
• Knowledge in various cutting tool types and programming strategies - required
• Manual and MDI programming - preferred
• Pendent crane operation and rigging - required
• Ability to work independently or as a team member - required

Education/Experience:

Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred with 5-7 years experience a must.
