Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is a leading environmental contractor located in Wharton, NJ. GWTT provides Construction Dewatering, Remediation, and Environmental Construction services, including dewatering systems design, manufacture, installation, and operation. Additionally, we offer design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for a variety of soil, groundwater, and wastewater treatment systems. Typical projects include groundwater depression and management for major construction projects, soil vapor extraction, air stripping, carbon adsorption, metals precipitation, pH neutralization, thermal/catalytic oxidation, and in-situ chemical oxidation. GWTT is looking for the ideal candidate to fill the role of Instrumentation and Controls Technician.

This person would be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrade of industrial wastewater equipment control systems. They will also be asked to assist in the design, specification, and commissioning of these types of systems. This person would work closely with the mechanical and maintenance personnel to analyze root causes of equipment failures and propose corrective actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• For existing equipment, provide troubleshooting of electrical and electronic controls problems or breakdowns.
• Perform modifications in PLC's/Drives/Control Electronics as needed.
• Perform evaluations of existing equipment controls and network systems.
• Perform upgrades as required.

COMPETENCY:

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (NFPA 70E Qualified Person).
• Expertise in PLC ladder logic design and troubleshooting.
• Confident in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and associated hardware
• Software programs such as Allen Bradley and Siemens.
• Expertise in Motor Controllers/VFD's
• Ability to work under pressure during troubleshooting of equipment breakdown.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with good prioritization skills.
• Self-starter, with solid oral and written communication skills.
• POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
• Full Time may need to work outside of normal hours including call ins, weekends, and holidays.
• TRAVEL: Domestic Travel (~50%)

EXPERIENCE:

• Instrumentation & Control Technician: 5 years (Preferred)
• ISA CCST Certification

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
