Job Title: Assitant Catering and Conference Service Manager

Job Function: To support the Senior Events Manager and Events Team. You will ensure complete coordination of all catering, weddings, and meetings and work closely with the hotel. Restaurant departments to ensure the successful planning, setup, and service of client's stay and events. You will meet with vendors, conduct walkthroughs, and work closely with banquet staff.
Essential Functions:- Required to be highly detail-oriented such that all relevant event information is appropriately communicated to the Operations team
- Supports management of contract execution for event sales, Including corporate sales
- Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of conferences and events, including menu selection, catering details, audiovisual equipment, timelines, Group rooming lists, Banquet Event Orders, etc.
- Assist with site visits, tastings, and necessary client meetings
- Collaborates with sales and banquet teams
- Planning set up, and supervision of operations for events, including staffing and event equipment logistics and vendor management
- Continually innovate ways to show clients, guests, and brides the unique beauty of Goodstone's Inn & restaurant.
- Responsible for documenting all changes until event execution and communicating all changes to any involved staff
- Responsible for being completely knowledgeable on all products and service offerings as well as venue specifics to ensure smooth communication with the clients and maximize upsell opportunities
- Excellent creative skills to provide innovative setups, menus, and functions for groups.
- Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Performs special projects as assigned and other administrative tasks as needed
- Implementing systems to record all event data to be used for event marketing and planning, including research activity to audit and inform future event decisions
Preferred Education and Experience:- 1-3 years of proven hotel group/event experience, specifically in corporate/catering service segments
- A talent for planning and thinking through all aspects of a project
- Strong time management and organizational skills with excellent and particular attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
