We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our veterinary team by assisting with various tasks related to animal care, client communication, and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
Animal Care: Assist with the examination and treatment of animals, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing animals for surgery.
Client Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
Clinical Support: Help with routine procedures such as lab work, radiographs, and dental cleanings. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper handling of specimens.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, surgical areas, and general clinic spaces. Assist with inventory management and stock supplies as needed.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians and other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations and effective patient care.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related field is preferred but not required.
Strong interest in animal care and the ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential evenings and weekends.
