Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers to analyze and design a variety of building structures. This role involves performing technical tasks such as structural analysis, design of structural elements, preparation of construction documents, construction administration, and review of shop drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles, experience with structural engineering software, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Design: Analyze and design structural elements for a wide range of building types, including commercial, residential, and civic structures.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare construction documents, perform construction administration, and review shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality designs that meet client needs and project deadlines.
- Software Utilization: Utilize structural engineering software such as Bentley, RAM, Tekla, and BIM/Revit for project design and analysis.
- Client Interaction: Participate in meetings with clients and industry partners, providing technical expertise and ensuring project goals are met.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- 1+ years of experience in structural design.
- E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) certification.
- Experience with structural engineering software such as Bentley, RAM, Tekla, and/or BIM/Revit.
Preferred & Other Qualifications:
- P.E. certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with BIM/Revit is preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet project deadlines.
