Position Summary
Communications & Content Marketing Specialist I is responsible for creating consistent and meaningful content and copy for use across multiple channels to increase brand awareness and support marketing and outreach efforts. This position is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing Your Health Idaho’s social media strategy across multiple platforms, creating on-brand collateral to support outreach efforts, and coordinating and implementing internal communications. This position requires a high level of creativity, and the ideal candidate will possess excellent written communication skills with an eye for detail.

The Idaho Health Insurance Exchange, dba Your Health Idaho, was established in 2013 by Idaho House Bill 248. We are an independent entity overseen by a 19-member Board of Directors. Your Health Idaho is Idaho’s online marketplace where Idaho individuals, families, and small businesses can shop, compare, and choose the health insurance that’s right for them. We are also the only place where Idahoans can apply for and receive a tax credit that can pay for some or all of their monthly premiums. Responsibilities (Position may include additional functions not listed)
- Develop relevant and engaging content for Your Health Idaho’s social media channels and collateral materials that align with overall marketing and communication strategies.
- Ensure consistency across all marketing and promotional efforts, including cross-platform promotion of key messages.
- Oversee collateral requests and create content and imaging for electronic and print marketing materials, ensuring brand and messaging consistency.
- Develop and oversee Your Health Idaho’s monthly social media strategy and calendar. Plan specific and timely social media content marketing campaigns. Publish content across platforms using content management tools.
- Report campaign metrics and make recommendations to the Your Health Idaho team and stakeholders as necessary.
- Act as primary point of contact for internal communications requests and suggestions.
- Review of copy/content from internal customers for grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, style, etc. errors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and within brand and style guidelines.
- Maintain Your Health Idaho’s intranet site as a relevant and timely resource for team members by sourcing material for weekly posts, updating resources, and performing regular content audits.
- Build relationships with internal customers to create content and provide editorial support.
- Assist with the execution of external communications
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in social media, content marketing, or internal communications
- Familiarity with technology such as Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, email marketing tools, and WordPress
- Strong writing and editing/proofreading skills, with an emphasis on grammar
- Attention to detail and the ability to reason logically and formulate ideas and opinions
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while working under tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, adapt to a continually evolving environment, and oversee programs and projects independently
- A committed team player with exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to assume responsibility and maintain confidentiality consistent with the values and integrity of Your Health Idaho

- Ability to work primarily in office settings. Occasional facilitation of meetings, workshops, or group meetings. Use of standard office equipment
- Ability to listen to and understand others, as well as the ability to give and receive instructions via telephone, computer messages, face-to-face, and in writing. Must possess the ability to write and compose correspondence, memorandums, and reports manually and via computer or email.
- May require occasional travel.
- May occasionally need to lift or move items weighing up to 10 pounds.
