Position Overview

The Cold Chain Expert at Gifthealth is responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of temperature-sensitive products throughout the entire supply chain. This role involves managing cold chain logistics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing best practices for handling, storing, and transporting temperature-sensitive products. The Cold Chain Expert will play a critical role in maintaining product quality and safety, ultimately supporting Gifthealth's mission to improve healthcare delivery.

How You’ll Help Us Improve Healthcare

• Oversee the management of cold chain logistics, including the handling, storage, and transportation of temperature-sensitive products.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, USP, and GDP guidelines.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cold chain management.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of cold chain processes and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors to ensure the quality and reliability of cold chain services.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless cold chain operations and timely delivery of products.
• Provide training and support to staff on best practices for cold chain management.
• Identify opportunities for improving cold chain efficiency and sustainability, implementing changes to enhance performance and reduce costs.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cold chain activities, including temperature logs, compliance reports, and corrective actions.

A Few Things About You

• Strong technical proficiency in cold chain logistics and management.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle emergency situations effectively and efficiently.
• Practical knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for cold chain management.
• RPH (Registered Pharmacist) qualification is highly desirable; however, candidates without an RPH will also be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience in cold chain management, ideally in a healthcare or related setting.
