The DevSecOps Engineer will work remotely and play a crucial role in application development, application rationalization, and configuration management. The role includes the development and establishment of a DevSecOps pipeline, as well as the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines, while ensuring information assurance, quality assurance, and cybersecurity. The engineer will be responsible for supporting testing efforts and participating in business process analysis. A significant part of the role involves familiarity with code modernization, refactoring, and system administration.

Essential Job Functions

• Participate in detailed business process design and fit-gap analysis sessions.
• Develop functional specifications for data extracts, interfaces, and system modifications in conjunction with the application functional analyst.
• Work on development for systems including interfaces, data extracts, and enhancements.
• Examine, evaluate, and summarize data to provide recommendations on its use, quality, and completeness.
• Provide testing support, including creating test cases and identifying test data needs.
• Work closely with the team to ensure data and documentation quality.
• Participate in code modernization and refactoring efforts.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines as part of the DevSecOps strategy.

Minimum Position Requirements

• Deep knowledge about software systems from a development perspective.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline establishment.
• Experience with information assurance, quality assurance, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent communication skills. Reports to the DevOps Lead. Works closely with the development and testing team
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of directly relevant industry experience.

• Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools.
• Must be a US Citizen and located within the continental United States.

Work Environment:

This is a remote role with a preference for candidates based in Dayton, OH or the DC area. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and training. The role requires collaboration with teams across different departments and locations.
