Animal Eye Care is a well-established veterinary ophthalmology specialty practice in Fremont and Pleasanton. We are in search of a full-time or part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Fremont, CA!
We’re offering a competitive hourly rate of $23-28/hr based on experience, along with training/career growth potential and comprehensive benefits. The schedule for this position requires a fixed schedule from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. For the rest of the week, the working hours can be adjusted based on the clinic's needs.
We are looking for compassionate, motivated team players who have an interest in ophthalmology. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and ready to expand on their veterinary careers!
Your primary responsibilities:
Performing or assisting with diagnostic testing (Schirmer Tear Testing, Tonometry, Ocular Ultrasounds, Electroretinogram testing, etc.)
Participating in state-of-the-art surgeries including cataract surgery, retinal detachments, and glaucoma
Assisting with ocular exams
Client communication and education
Anesthesia monitoring
Carrying out tasks as requested by the veterinarian
