GENERAL SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical, passionate individual who provides comprehensive market intelligence and strategic insights into the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. This innovative leader will be responsible for analyzing market trends, assessing project developments, tracking price movements, monitoring regulatory and legal developments, and keeping an eye on the activities of key players in the renewable energy market.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of the renewable energy markets, including wind, solar, biofuels and other emerging technologies. Identify trends, opportunities and risks.
• Project Monitoring: Track and evaluate major renewable energy projects, including their status, financials and impact on the market.
• Pricing Intelligence: Analyze and report on price movements in renewable energy markets, including factors influencing pricing dynamics.
• Regulatory and Legal Monitoring: Stay updated on relevant regulations, laws, and policy changes affecting the renewable energy sector. Assess the impact of these changes on the market and provide insights to the business.
• Competitor and Industry Tracking: Monitor the activities of key players in the renewables sector, including competitors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Provide insights into their strategies and market positioning.
• Data Collection and Reporting: Gather, organize, and maintain relevant data on market conditions, project developments, regulatory changes, and industry movements. Produce regular reports and presentations for senior management.
• Strategic Insights: Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning for the company's renewable energy trading operations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with trading, strategy, and risk management teams to ensure alignment and integration of market intelligence into business operations.
• Innovation: Identify and recommend innovative strategies and practices to enhance the efficiency and profitability of energy transition and renewable energy activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy market analysis, renewable trading, renewable project management, or within the energy sector, with a focus on renewables.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear insights.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to senior management.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, energy transition and renewable energy markets, particularly SAFs, BioFuels, HVOs, Hydrogen-based fuels and renewable diesel.

• Knowledge of the American and Caribbean market a plus. This role will be part of the process to bring renewable energy to the Brazilian oil and gas market

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the energy transition and renewable energy sector.

Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Enthusiastic about being part of a new initiative and driving its success from the ground up.

Portuguese and/or Spanish speaking and written skills preferred.

EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Economics, Finance, Business, Law, Renewable Energy, or a related field is required.

A Master's degree is preferred.
