Job Title: CT/X-Ray Technologist
Location: Reedsport, OR
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Department: Radiology
Shifts: 8-hour days; must be able to take call with a maximum 20-minute response time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our radiology team. This role requires independent operation of all radiology equipment (except ultrasound). The technologist will perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans.
Essential Duties:
- Operate CT and X-ray equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Follow prescribed techniques for radiography, ensure proper image capture and file storage.
- Adhere to sterile techniques and safety protocols during all procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient logs and equipment records; report any discrepancies or issues to the Radiology Director immediately.
- Perform portable examinations in the emergency room or patient rooms, and operate the C-arm during surgical procedures.
- Conduct basic and helical CT scans, including for pulmonary embolism and abdominal studies.
- Clean and disinfect imaging areas and equipment post-procedure.
- Assist Radiologists with CT-guided biopsies and other diagnostic tasks.
- Transport patients to and from the imaging department, maintain stock and supplies, and perform clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduated from an accredited JRCERT School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification: Licensed with ARRT and eligible for Oregon Board of Medical Imaging licensing.
- Experience: At least one year of clinical experience in both a hospital radiology department and on a CT scanner.
- Skills: Strong communication, stress management, and teamwork abilities.
- Physical: Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including moving or lifting up to 50 lbs.
Additional Qualifications:
- BLS certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively amidst frequent disruptions and a high-stress environment.

Compensation:
- Hourly wage ranging from $30.90 to $46.43, based on experience and additional qualifications.
