Position Title: Quality Technician II
Location: Lake Zurich, IL *Onsite full-time
Position Summary:
The Quality Technician II position performs administrative, hands-on, and technical duties in the Quality Department in support of production. This person supports the department’s objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer’s requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to follow Medical Murray Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix
- Support completion of Lot History Records (LHRs), including creation of Certificates of Compliance or other lot documentation, Quality review and approval, scanning, and filing.
- Release materials from Quarantine when appropriate, including materials returning from an outsourced supplier.
- Audit product labels and confirm destruction of labels according to label control procedures.
- Enter scrap and yield data from LHRs and scan and file production scrap and yield logs.
- Data entry, including but not limited to statistical process control (SPC) data.
- Scan and file incoming inspection records.
- Scan and file employee training records.
- Perform and file First Article Inspections (FAI) and perform Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).
- Manage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System transactions as assigned.
- Inform supervisor and/or Engineering of issues or unanticipated non-conformances.
- Awareness of the impact of action on quality of products (defect awareness).
- Maintain good working relationships with peers and co-workers
- Performs other duties as requested, including:
- In-process and final inspections
- Incoming inspections
- Line clearance audits
- Lot release testing
- Work overtime as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledgeable on the use of Metrology measurement tools
Experience:
- 2-5 years quality inspection experience (medical device experience strongly preferred)
- Computer experience required
Skills:
- Ability to organize and coordinate work efficiently and to stay on task
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and similar metrology measurement systems
- Detail orientated with strong organization skills
- Hands-on and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to fluently read, write, verbally communicate, and follow directions in English
- Complete tasks and assignments as assigned by management and engineering
- Skilled in data entry and filing
- Able to work on a computer and familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Adobe programs (PDF's)
- Have and demonstrate good judgment
- Maintains confidential information, in accordance with Company policy
