Senior Designer/ Drafter Job Description

The chosen candidate will support multiple projects and programs providing complex mechanical and electrical parts, assemblies and dimensional drawings using SolidWorks.

Senior Designer/ Drafter Responsibilities

• Will be working with multidisciplinary design teams

• Creating multi-view dimensional drawings of parts and assemblies

• Serve as an authority on GD&T and drawing quality for their department

• Implement geometric dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings to ensure proper fitment and functionality of parts and assemblies

• Preparing bills of material and specifications

• Provide assistance to less experienced designers by communicating work priorities, providing technical assistance, and verifying the accuracy of work.

• Optimizing design for cost, manufacturability, and maintainability while achieving functional design requirements

Senior Designer/ Drafter Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required

• At least five years of experience as a designer/drafter

• Five or more years of SolidWorks/Creo CAD modeling and drawing creation

• Technical Data Package & Bill of Material creation experience

• Documented GD&T experience
