Solenoid Solutions, Inc. (SSI) is a growing manufacturer of custom designed electrically activated valves that is locally owned/operated in Erie, PA and participating in the worldwide market. SSI has an immediate opening for a highly motivated professional.   

Responsibilities include:

·       Oversee the production team by providing planning and direction to employees in daily operations including assigning responsibilities, coordinating work efforts, and removing barriers to success.

·       Supervise team including hiring, employee communication, evaluation, discipline and termination as required.

·       Ensure company policies are followed and promote a safe work environment.

·       Monitor & Communicate daily performance efficiencies and provide direction for improvements.

·       Create and establish production plans based on customer requirements, MRP, manpower and machine availability.

·       Work with the team to develop training plans to ensure personnel have the skills to successfully complete their assignments as well as cross training to optimize resources.

·       Suggest and Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement activities

·       Prepare and submit reports to the Management Team.

The successful candidate will have:

·       Proven experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment

·       Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes

·       Strategic and Creative thinking process to analyze issues and provide solutions

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·       Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and production schedules preferred

·       Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and coach

·       High School diploma or equivalent
