Job Description

The Senior Process Control Engineer at CEC Controls will focus on the design, engineering, startup, testing, and implementation of control systems, particularly in Water/Wastewater and Power Plant systems. This role demands expertise in SCADA, PLC programming, and a deep understanding of industrial standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Technology and Programming
  • Work with SCADA hardware and software, and PLC programming using ladder logic and function blocks.
  • Implement and manage control network infrastructure.
  • Experience with VTSCADA, Wonderware, iFix, WinCC, FactoryTalk View, and GE Cimplicity is a plus.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to ensure all deliverables are met on time, focusing on programming and technology-related
• Design and Engineering
  • Review and interpret specifications, control drawings, and HMI screens, leading the design and testing of control systems.
  • Ensure all customer Factory Test requirements are met in accordance with specifications.
  • Adhere to industry standards such as ISA and UL 508A, with a solid technical and engineering controls background.
  • Collaborate with other departments and vendors to meet company and customer needs throughout the design and engineering phases

Requirements

• Education and Experience
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent expertise and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and electrical safety standards (NEC, OHSA).
  • Proven abilities in design, engineering, startup, testing, and implementation phases of projects, with strong communication skills to ensure that all project deliverables are met.
• Physical and Legal Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
  • Able to climb a 2-story ladder
  • Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
  • Able to lift 30 lbs. while carrying a laptop
