Our normal production quantities are from prototype to 100,000 pieces annually in all cold punching materials from .005 to .250 thick, including plastics. ***Target hourly rate of pay is $23-30 per hour depending on experience.***

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sodick Wire EDM for setup/programming and overall operation. Experience with tooling and metal stamping is strongly preferred.

Role & Responsibility

• Set up and operate (2) wire EDM machines (Sodick)
• Programming/operating/maintaining Wire EDM utilizing knowledge of working properties and processes for a variety of materials
• Develop/Implement process recommendations for improved efficiency to optimize the programs and processes
• Load & unload work pieces, calibrate & align axis’, perform necessary adjustments.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance as required
• Understanding of different wire types, sizes, operating parameters for best machine optimization
• Ensure on- time customer satisfaction with products and service by producing programs resulting in defect free parts
• Program and post via Esprit (preferred but not mandatory); will train as needed

Qualifications

• 2-3 years wire EDM experience, prefer experience with metal stamping tools.
• Ability to read Tool and Die blueprints, shop orders, drawings, specifications, formulas and technology with a machine aptitude
• Experience working in an ISO-9001 quality environment preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with multiple teams in a changing environment and rotating priorities
• Knowledge of standard practice, and basic inspection techniques
• Communicate effectively, follow directions, basic math and problem solving skills
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Self-motivated, and able to exemplify efficient use of time
• Data entry and computer skills are required
• Good analytical skills required to analyze information, make decisions, and expedite actions necessary to meet schedules and deadlines
• Attention to detail is essential and ability to complete tasks rapidly, yet proficiently
• Willingness to work with wide variety of people in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a team player and have a positive and respectful attitude
• Initiative to work on additional projects/Tool Room work, as requested
• All other duties, as assigned

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
