Job DescriptionCompany Description
Responsibilities
- Aliquoting, batching, storing, pulling and organizing specimens.
- Troubleshooting and fixing specimen issues (may include communicating with customer service). Reporting these specimen issues to Laboratory Supervisor/Manager when the problem cannot be resolved or has been occurring significantly.
- Maintaining inventory and organizing supplies required to perform the duties of a Laboratory Technician I and II. Appropriately notifying the Laboratory Supervisor/Manager when supplies are needed.
- Cleaning/maintaining all laboratory equipment required to perform the duties of a Laboratory Technician II.
- Meeting a daily quota of specimens processed.
- Maintaining a clean workspace throughout each shift, and performing a full cleanup at the end of each shift.
- Maintaining proper laboratory etiquette and attire.
- May include Laboratory Technician I duties/responsibilities.
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications/Skills
- Understanding of cross contamination and how to avoid it, with a focus on high volume sample management while pipetting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Pay- rate
- $18-$19 an hour
