Hours of working:

Crew needed starting October 31, 2022 -  April 2023 

15:00 - 23:00 - Monday - Thursday

09:00 - 13:00  - Wednesday

May be needed for 911 schedule also. 

Nature of Position

• Employee will be responsible for staffing the ambulance and providing medical care for Harness Racing.
• Employee must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and be able to make sound medical decision while working under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide Basic Life Support to a standby crew for Harness Racing
• Must provide all patient care within scope of practice set forth by Delaware State BLS Protocols 
• Complete DEMRS reports or incident reports prior to the end of shift
• Routine checks of ambulance equipment and vehicles
• Must be able to work well with the public, staff and our supporting agencies

Mandatory Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Must be willing to provide a current background check after job offer
• Must complete pre-employment drug screen
• Valid EMT card from National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
• Valid Delaware EMT certification card from the Delaware State Fire School
• Valid Emergency Vehicle Operators License
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be willing to work standby events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Albuterol certified
• NARCAN certified
• CPAP certified
• Epi-Pen
