Teaching, caregiving, educating, training, coaching and direct care are a few of the roles. This is a fun and uplifting work environment - where you can make a difference. Steady shifts. A variety of full time positions - plus overtime if you're available. Hiring immediately! Caregivers provide training, support, and coaching in group home settings - supports could include teaching people how to:

• • prepare for/participate in leisure activities – gym workouts, basketball, Special Olympics sports, dances, crafts, etc.
  • maintain living space, personal hygiene, and balance in their home life & weekly schedules
  • participate in activities, exercise, practice etiquette, and develop coping skills & self esteem
  • plan and prepare meals, grocery shop, operate household appliances, and maintain a budget
  • use community resources, understand their rights, and be safety aware

Some positions may require assisting individuals with hygiene/personal care. A comprehensive two week, weekday, daytime orientation is provided and required (this is paid training). Hiring immediately. EOE

Shifts available: Fri 3p-Midnight + Sat/Sun 8a-8p, OR 3rd shift Sat Midnight-8a + Sat/Sun overnight 8p-8a

Requirements for a weekend caregiver:

• High school diploma or accredited GED
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, dependable vehicle
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less
• Work experience or knowledge regarding the needs of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is beneficial, but not required
• Able to attend a daytime training during the first weeks of employment
• Other beneficial experience: CNA, CMA, Direct Care, HHA, caregiver, third shift, restorative aide, elder care, Independent skills trainer, Medical Aide, direct support, Medical Assistant, non CNA, nursing home, adult care, special education, psychology, teaching, advocacy, home supports, mental Health, human services, 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekend shift, home health aide, overnight.
