Position Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration and supervision of the Westbank Workforce Training Center, while also performing student services to the student population.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration and supervision of the workforce training center in coordination with the Vice Chancellors of Academic and Student Affairs, Strategic Initiatives, and Principle and Administrative Staff at Donaldsonville High School.
- Deliver high quality customer service to prospective and current students.
- Answer routine questions about the enrollment process, financial aid, programs of study, and the Academic Calendar.
- Work with RPCC’s academic affairs team and the Donaldsonville High School administration with scheduling of dual enrollment classes during the school day.
- Work with RPCC’s workforce development and adult education teams with scheduling evening and/or weekend classes for adults and other non-traditional students.
- Communicate with students who are missing documents for enrollment and/or financial aid processing.
- Receive, scan and process various student records.
- Coordinates and leads student orientation sessions according to schedule.
- Responsible for scheduling and overseeing all training center tours and conducts tours when needed.
- Works with the community outreach team to ensure prospective students that call or walk-in to the training center are entered into the Recruit database.
- Responsible for the implementation and interpretation of college system policies.
- Responsible for making college facility staff aware of equipment issues beyond the scope of on-site personnel.
- Responsible for the submission of all reports in a timely manner to RPCC Main Office.
- Submits all requisitions for supplies and purchases for the campus.
- Verifies deliveries and contacts Property Manager on all inventory items.
- Coordinates all repair work orders.
- Responsible for scheduling campus security and oversight of janitorial service.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Responsible for performing other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 1-3 years of prior leadership and/or higher education experience, or an associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of prior leadership and/or higher education experience
Skills:
- Proficient with MS Office and Adobe products
- Academic advising/coaching experience preferred
- Previous experience at an LCTCS institution is highly preferred
- BANNER experience is highly preferred
