Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with a global manufacturing company in the Lafayette area that is looking for a BUYER to join their growing team! This is a DIRECT HIRE role that will be 100% onsite, offering 100% covered medical benefits and following standard day shift hours. We are targeting candidates with purchasing experience in manufacturing or warehousing. Please read below for a list of responsibilities. 

DIRECT HIRE

LOCATION: Lafayette, IN

PAY: $65,000 - $90,000, depending on experience

SCHEDULE: 8:30A-5:00P, Monday-Friday. After 6 months, there will be opportunity for 1 remote day per week.

Responsibilities:

• Handle cost analytics, build cost sheets, and present findings to management.
• Manage up to 15 supplier accounts, sourcing and participating in annual cost reduction.
• Manage and negotiate quantities and delivery times for supplier products.
• Negotiate pricing of products with suppliers, maintaining positive relationships and working to achieve the highest quality product.
• Work with the procurement and engineering teams to plan for material acquisition 2-4 years in advance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, finance, or a related field is REQUIRED.
• 2+ years of buyer, purchasing, or related experience for the manufacturing or warehousing industry.
• Negotiation experience is strongly preferred.
