XEC is seeking a Hybrid Senior/Project Engineer at their office location in Santa Ana, CA. TFGB is a TPA, assisting X Engineering & Consulting, Inc. (XEC) in this hiring process.
Job Summary:
XEC is looking for a Senior/Project Engineer to join our growing team of design enthusiasts and engineering professionals. Your role at XEC will include project design from preliminary studies through construction administration and project closeout, providing leadership and technical training to junior staff and playing an instrumental role in contributing to the health and growth of our business. You will provide technical designs and oversight, prepare engineering plans, work with project managers and junior staff and handle a substantial workload of diverse tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Lead project design for multiple projects.
· Identify design criteria, plan and execute effective designs.
· Plan, organize and supervise project activities.
· Advise staff on land development operations and project-specific tasks.
· Ensure tasks are completed and schedules are met.
· Provide solutions to design challenges.
· Supervise preparation of and when needed, prepare technical reports; and
· Assist with technical tasks such as site investigation, due diligence, utility research, conceptual drawings, site grading/earthwork analysis, utility system design, WQMP/LID reports, feasibility analyses, site layout and stormwater management.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
· 3-5 years of civil engineering experience.
· Preferred: experience in hydrology and drainage software including CivilDesign, Hydrocalc, SWMM, routing software and others.
Requirements:
· Required: expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu.
· PE preferred; EIT required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80k – $125k
