Lake County Veterinary Clinics is a busy, small animal practice serving Two Harbors, Duluth, Grand Marais and surrounding areas. Our staff works in a team setting and good communication skills are necessary. At our Two Harbors location, we are open 8am-5pm Monday through Friday and have a well equipped clinic which includes an in-house lab, radiology, digital dental radiology, and surgical suite. Our Grand Marais clinic is open 10am-3pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and offers an in-house lab and minimal surgical capabilities. Looking for a responsible, dedicated and professional individual to add to our staff.  We are currently searching for a veterinary assistant/technician/customer service representative. The individual would be trained in veterinary assistance as well as reception duties, rotating positions as needed day-to-day.  Veterinary/medical/reception experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.

4-day work week, no weekends or holidays.  Most shifts in the Two Harbors clinic.  Employees may be required to work in our Grand Marais clinic as needed (we leave in a clinic vehicle at 8am and return around 5pm; you are paid for the entire ride up and down the shore!).  

Pay range is $17.00 - $22.00/hr, based on experience.   Most hires with no experience start around $17.00/hr.

The position requires animal restraint, lab work, phlebotomy, client education, phone/email communication, office duties and assisting the veterinarian and members of the team. Lifting, squatting and kneeling are common.
