Airframe and Powerplant Technician (Rotorcraft)
- Determine airworthiness & maintain aircraft & components, based on the current Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturers’ documentation, and Repair Station Manual, for which the repair station is rated.
- Performing special inspections, as required by appropriate manufacturers
- Verify and use the proper data applicable to the maintenance being performed.
- Coordinate inventory requests, core returns thru the shop inspectors, in a timely fashion.
- Completely and legibly document all inspections and maintenance that has been performed in accordance with the Repair Station procedures
- Verify applicability of parts and components, when being used, to ensure proper installation
- Maintain traceability, usage of inventory, time applied, and tasks performed
- Further knowledge of FAR’s, aircraft, components and their procedures by self-education, training, and in aviation current events, technologies, etc.•
Must have Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
Helicopter maintenance experience is a HUGE plus, not deal killer though.
