API Care is a host home and rehabilitation care service agency. We are looking for professional caretakers who can assist our clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a meaningful and compassionate manner. Although the services rendered greatly benefit our clients, we find that more often than not, we are the beneficiaries of the care provided in more ways than one. Ideal candidates demonstrate patience, friendliness, and have excellent communication skills. Caretakers must be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of required tasks to help our clients.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assisting clients with a variety of daily functions, tasks, and activities (ie., cooking, budgeting, car rides, exercises, etc.)
Working on goals with clients
Assist clients with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living)
Be a positive and supportive companion for the clients
Completing required documentation for clients
Reporting any behavior or events and occurrences to supervisors
Acting quickly and responsibly in the event of emergency situations
Adhere to company policies, procedures and assigned duties.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to pass a full Drug and Criminal Background check
Must have valid ID or Driver’s License and Social Security for background check
Must have a passable driving record if transporting clients (Must be 21 years or older to transport clients)
Must have or be able to complete CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers Permit certifications within the first 30 days of employment
Benefits:
This position starts at $16.00/hr. Pay increases depending on experience and licensing/certification completion. Other benefits might include:
