We are seeking a reliable Millwright at our Steel Stud Manufacturing Plant located in Spokane, WA. As a Millwright, you will troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment throughout the manufacturing plant. Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, by listening for problems and/or by using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
- Answers questions and requests regarding mechanical maintenance
- Receives warehouse goods and materials and checks them against purchase orders and delivery documentation to ensure the correctness and proper condition of merchandise
- Maintains accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules, as well as knowledge of general and preventative maintenance procedures
- Occasionally performs weekly safety checks to ensure a safe and clean environment and eliminate all hazards
- Uses LOTO procedures to demonstrate familiarity with site safety precautions
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6: 00 am – 2:30 pm, occasional overtime and Saturdays.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, AC and DC electrical up to 480 VAC
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding
- Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge
- Strong Communication skills with a multi-lingual workforce
- Knowledge of assembling, installing and repairing electrical and mechanical components and systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for renovation and repair purposes
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate measures to correct them
- Time management skills and the ability to work well in a team setting
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including walking, climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting
Previous experience with roll forming, press brake, punch press and overhead cranes is a plus, but not required.
