Job Summary:

We are seeking an attorney to join our growing law firm in Columbia, SC that is interested in expanding the firm's insurance defense practice. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal representation to our clients.

Job Description:

• Direct and lead files, provide initial analysis, develop case strategy, conduct discovery, take depositions, draft motions, attend hearings and negotiate settlements
• Associates will also be able to assist with and lead trials.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should have at least one (1) year of civil litigation experience with defense experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter who is highly motivated to perform excellent work
• Candidates must be current members of the South Carolina Bar in good standing or be in the process of being sworn in imminently

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and an existing portfolio of clients.
