Chemical Waste Treatment Operator (Waste Management Chemical Specialist) - Cypress, TX

Harrison Electropolishing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Waste Treatment Operator to join our waste management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient treatment of chemical waste, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company standards. This role is full-time and based in our office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chemical Waste Treatment - Operate and monitor chemical waste treatment systems, including the handling, storage, and non-hazardous chemical waste.
• Compliance - Ensure all waste management practices comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant guidelines.
• Documentation - Maintain accurate records of waste treatment processes, including chemical usage, disposal methods, and testing, inspections.
• Safety Management - Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks associated with chemical waste handling. Conduct regular safety checks and emergency preparedness drills.
• Process Optimization - Identify opportunities to improve waste treatment processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste generation.
• Team Collaboration - Work closely with other departments, including production, , and environmental health and safety teams, to coordinate waste management activities.
• Training - Provide training to other employees on proper waste handling procedures and safety practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Education - High school diploma or GED required;
• Experience - 2 years of experience in chemical waste treatment or chemical handling is preferred
• Certifications - Relevant certifications in hazardous waste operations (e.g., HAZWOPER) and chemical handling are preferred.
• Attention to Detail - Strong ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Communication Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
