We're currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a leading industrial automation machinery manufacturer in Bartlett, IL. You'll play a vital role in the designing new custom and existing automated machinery, improving overall design layouts, and making recommendations to improve costs or efficiency.

​Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or related degrees.
• 8+ years of industry experience and 5+ years of experience designing or working on capital equipment projects.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D solid modeling, using AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Experience with FEA, PFMEA, analysis and design of steel structures or weldments.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in the customization and design of all new and existing product orders from customers.
• Generally juggling several different equipment projects at one time, but primarily focused on the actual design activities.
• Act as Mechanical Engineering lead, managing project deadlines, and ensuring tasks are done effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure the timely success of every system.
• Design automation machinery.
  • Components, parts, vision systems, and robot arms.
    • Using SolidWorks.
      • Doing the 3D solid modeling, prototyping.
• Design, build, and detail a BOM.
• Release drawings promptly to ensure the success of the Materials Team and Production Team
