We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team at BOXABL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles, hands-on experience with electrical systems design, and a passion for innovation in the construction and housing industry.

• Develop, design, and test electrical systems and components for BOXABL's modular housing units
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, and software engineers) to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall product design
• Collaborate & manage 3rd party developers to aid in launching custom electrical devices & architecture.
• Create and evaluate prototypes, conducting rigorous testing to ensure functionality, safety, and reliability
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical reports
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in existing products and production processes
• Identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the performance of electrical systems
• Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain BOXABL's competitive edge.

• Experience in designing embedded systems, including embedded software development (C/C++)
• Circuit and PCB Design Skills
• Experience with microcontrollers and SoCs
• Experience with wireless communication (WiFi, Bluetooth, EnOcean, ZWave, Zigbee, Thread)
• Experience with embedded systems communications (I2C, SPI, UART)
• Experience with wired communication (DALI, DMX, CAN, Modbus, Ethernet)
• Power Supply/Management Systems Design Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with REST API integrations
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or housing industry.
• Experience with the designs of residential & light commercial building electrical systems including lighting & power systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and power distribution.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
