Overview:
As a Manufacturing/Industrial Electrician, you'll independently manage the upkeep, repair, and advancement of the plant's computer-driven control systems, as well as its mechanical and electrical infrastructure. Your duties encompass the fabrication, application, installation, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment, alongside electrical conduit and wiring for machinery and facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Daily troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial electromechanical and control systems for production equipment, spanning low and high voltage.
• Installation, calibration, repair, and design of various electronic equipment, coupled with proactive maintenance.
• Planning and execution of new installations with regard to materials, accessibility, and adherence to codes.
• Maintenance of shift inspection and repair logs for review by management.
• Analysis of wiring diagrams and blueprints to ensure precision and compliance.
• Proficient use of meters and test equipment for troubleshooting, with effective communication of findings to management and engineering.
• Troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment on the Shingle line.
• Maintenance of plant instrumentation like heat controllers and recording devices.
• Monitoring equipment performance to identify hazards and areas needing adjustment or replacement.
• Independent troubleshooting and repair of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related components.
• Retrieval and repair of backup PLC programs to restore equipment functionality.
• Assistance in mechanical installations as instructed.
• Occasional travel for training purposes.
• Routine and downtime cleaning duties.
• Completion of assigned miscellaneous tasks.
• Consistent attendance and mandatory overtime when required.Qualifications:
• Proficiency in handling DC and AC motors, VF drives, and controlled systems.
• Background in Programmable Logic Controllers, computer systems, and electronics.
• Experience in electrical system design, repair, and analysis.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing education to keep pace with evolving technologies.
• Accurate interpretation and modification of electrical prints and schematics.
• Strong skills in electrical installations and wiring practices.
• Effective problem-solving abilities and a commitment to safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

• Two-year technical degree in electrical engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years' experience in an industrial electrical role, or equivalent.

Additional Details:

• Candidates will undergo assessments for Electrical Aptitude, PLC and controls Aptitude, and Mechanical Aptitude during a 90-day introductory period.
• Must be physically capable and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• Occasional work in challenging environmental conditions may be required, with a moderate noise level in the work environment.

Schedule:

• Must rotate shifts every 30 days: 30-days on 1st shift, 30-days on 3rd shift, then 30-days on 2nd shift.
• Mandatory overtime including weekends.

Salary:

• Starting pay at $29.24 per hour. Based on experience.
• Plus, shift differential.
• Benefits eligible, first day of month following 30 days of employment.
