We are adding experienced Veterinary Technicians to our team. You must have a passion for animals. You must have experience working in the veterinary field. Our team wears many different hats during each work day. You must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be able to multitask and be able to communicate well with co-workers and pet parents. You must have the ability to restrain dogs and cats properly, be familiar with answering phones and other various receptionist duties. Must be familiar with setting up lab specimens to be sent out to the laboratory, taking blood, fecal samples, urinalysis, gram stains, ear smears, etc. Experience taking digital radiographs and techniques associated with radiology and radiation safety is a huge plus. Must be familiar with vaccine types and preparing medication for either in house use or as medication to go home with a patient. You must be willing to go through training regardless of your experience. Must be able to lift 50lbs, kneel on the floor and stand for long periods of time. You will be required to vacuum floors, mop floors, clean kennels, clean windows, clean areas that dogs or cats may have either urinated, defecated or both, etc. We do all our own hospital cleaning so following our disinfection protocol is a must. Must bring your "A" game to work every day. Having a positive, cheerful, can do attitude is a huge plus!
