At Harding, Shymanski & Co., our Business Valuations practice is led by a talented team of experienced valuation professionals who sincerely appreciate people and how they are each uniquely motivated. HSC’s valuation professionals are experts at handling various valuation issues faced by clients related to mergers & acquisitions, and financial reporting. We train and develop our teams to help them reach their full potential. We also provide litigation support, succession planning, estate planning and gift taxes.
As an HSC Business Valuation Supervisor, you will develop expertise, expand your knowledge and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development and perform valuations for clients.
How You Will Contribute
- Preparing business valuation models and reports
- Assist Accounting & Auditing department with valuation expertise as it relates to their engagements
- Understanding of the valuation of businesses and intangible assets in the context of mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax, and regulatory reporting, restructuring, and management planning
- Researching and analyzing the industry, transactional, and economic information
- Preparing for and participating in management interviews, either onsite or via teleconference
- Assisting with mathematical testing related to quality control procedures
We Are Looking For People With Forward Vision And
- The ability to work independently and with team members located throughout various offices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 3 years or more of experience at a professional services firm
- Experience preparing valuations for financial and tax reporting purposes
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or candidate for the CPA exam
- Valuation credentials, or pursuit of such credentials (ASA/AM, CPA/ABV, CVA, AVA, CFA)
