Komline is a fast-growing PE-backed group of companies operating nine locations in the US. As a result of several successful acquisitions since 2021, Komline is expanding the FP&A team, and we are seeking candidates who can work effectively in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment to help us grow further.

Position Overview: 

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will be responsible for tracking the consolidated company's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports. The FP&A Manager will work closely with the CEO, CFO, Executive leadership, and Investment professionals. In addition to FP&A reporting, the Manager may also work on the financial analysis of potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The position will be based in a new Washington, DC office in DuPont Circle.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting and tracking operational metrics tracking for the individual business units and the consolidated entity
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
• Evaluate the financial impact of potential mergers and acquisitions
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the associate members of the FP&A team

Desired Skills and Experience: 

• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; MBA or CPA a plus
• 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
• Investment banking, strategy consulting or public accounting experience a plus
• High proficiency in financial modeling techniques with Excel formulas and functions
• Ability to create dashboards and presentations for executive team using PowerPoint
• Experience with Business Intelligence and ERP software
• Strong analytical and data gathering skills including ability to combine data from different systems and formats into meaningful consolidated reports
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
