TMS Technician
This position reports to the TMS Coordinator
The TMS Technician provides for a smooth flow of patients through the TMS suite, assisting the TMS Coordinator in diagnostics and treatment, ensuring that all patients have a positive, professional experience. Prefer a candidate with both TMS Tech and Medical Assistant experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, administering TMS treatments as prescribed, recording notes during treatment, and assisting patients to complete psychiatric rating scales after sessions
• Scheduling TMS treatment appointments
• Administering TMS treatments according to protocols provided by mental healthcare professionals
• Enabling effective treatment by accurately positioning the TMS equipment
• Explaining TMS procedures and its possible effects on patients, as well as answering questions
• Collaborating with certified TMS psychiatrist on patient care
Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental health setting required
Qualifications:
• a HS Diploma or Associate's degree and at least 2 years in a patient care/mental health office setting; TMS Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and EHR systems(AdvancedMD experience a plus)
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
• Ability to lift and easily maneuver 20-40 lbs
Position can include some medical assistant duties(on a very limited basis) which can include, but are limited to:
•\tProviding for a smooth flow of patients through the practice, assisting the medical practitioner in diagnostic and treatment which can include.
o\tConducting Urinalysis
o\tPerforming Injections
o\tObtaining Medication Prior Authorizations
o\tChart preparation
TMS of Tampa, Northrup Psychiatry is a private psychiatric practice located in Tampa, Florida. We provide out-patient mental health services including TMS treatment, medication management, and many other services.
The position of TMS Technician is a full time position, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be TMS certified and have a background in healthcare(Medical Assistant).
We are looking for a compassionate and capable transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technician to create a supportive TMS experience for our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, administering TMS treatments as prescribed, recording notes during treatment, and assisting patients to complete psychiatric rating scales after sessions. To ensure success, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technicians should possess experience in healthcare administration and detailed knowledge of TMS treatment. First-class candidates exhibit a patient-centered approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
