The Certified Nurse Midwife will join Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists of Central Florid Clinic located in Orlando, Florida.  We are an established team of two OB/GYN physicians, three APPs, and a well-trained experienced support staff.

We care for the entire woman, from puberty through menopause. The CNM will maintain their own panel of patients and work collaboratively with other providers to meet patient care follow-up needs. Primarily working in clinic, the CNM will also round with patients in-hospital and support deliveries. Dependent on experience and level of interest, the CNM may also participate in surgical procedures.

• Execute health assessment, comprehensive physical exam and history.
• Provide antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care.
• Identify potential problems, risk factors, complications or emergencies.
• Provide assessment, planning and intervention for acute, minor gynecological illness.
• Monitor chronic and stable gynecological conditions.
• Organize and communicate relevant data about patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals.
• Attend selected meetings.  Belong to appropriate committees and support policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited ACNM certification program
• Preferred: Three (3) years of CNM practice experience in a clinic or hospital-based setting
• Valid and current Florida APRN-Nurse Midwife license
• ACNM/ACC Certification or eligible

Prior CNM experience is highly preferred.
