North Bay Vitreoretinal Consultants, Inc. is a busy multi-physician ophthalmic retinal-surgical practice in Santa Rosa, CA. We are searching for a part time (Wednesday through Friday) Registered Nurse to join our team.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work efficiently in a large, fast-paced office setting with good time management skills.

Registered Nurse

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Explains surgical procedures as well as pre/post-op instructions to patients and family members to facilitate an appropriate and safe surgical experience.
- Obtains written surgical consent from patient or their representative.
- Performs surgical case scheduling which includes transmitting patient information/physician orders to the necessary facilities.
- Accountable for administration of drugs, IV procedures and other diagnostic measures in a safe and accurate manner.
- Administers intravenous dye and medication as indicated by physicians for in-office testing and procedures.
- Supports technical staff with medical procedures as necessary.
- Responds to life saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
- Work cohesively as a team with other RN on staff.
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients.
-Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients.

Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is preferred
