We are seeking a Medical Scribe / Physician Facilitator to join our team! You will work with physicians and other healthcare practitioners in the emergency room to create a medical record for each patient encounter.

Responsibilities:

• Be early to every shift
• Accompany the provider into patient rooms to document the encounter including the history, review of systems, and physical exam
• Enter history and exam findings from medical personnel into the electronic medical record
• Look up information from the patient’s electronic chart for the physician to review
• Monitor the status of all lab and imaging studies to completion to ensure they return in a timely manner, notifying physician of any delays encountered
• Remind physician when all testing results are back and the patient may be ready for reassessment and disposition
• Facilitate communication between physician and other members of care team
• Document procedures performed
• Documents all discussions with other providers and family members
• Complete patient chart upon their disposition, including importing all physician requested data

​Qualifications:

• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service to care team and patients
• Previous experience in medical transcription or other healthcare related fields
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic anatomy
• Strong attention to detail
• Proof of COVID vaccination (exemptions are possible)
