Sonographer – Englewood, CO 80112

Position Overview: Denver Fertility  has a full and part-time opening for an Ultrasonographer. This position is responsible for advanced knowledge and skills to fertility treatment and the care of our patients. Must be able to take direction from the physicians as it relates to specific patient care concerns. Attentive to details and have a desire to develop professionally. Other duties include assisting and improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of the business.

· Assist physicians with the uterine testing procedures and embryo transfers.

· Perform follicular, gynecological, and early obstetrical ultrasound exams.

· Performs diagnostic procedures and prepare patients for what to expect by explaining procedures.

• Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers appropriate transducers to perform exams.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.
• Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to EMR
• Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms and any other areas in department.
• Performs other related work as required.

Requirements:

· Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program is required.

· Minimum of 2 year of experience as a OB/GYN Sonographer is preferred.

· Must be certified in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance to state regulations.

· Current ARDMS license is required.

· Must registered in OB/GYN specialty.

· Current BLS certification is required upon hire.

· Capability to work independently.
